FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does PlayoutGuard detect?

It detects whether independent REFERENCE and ACTUAL signals carry matching program content, including cases where sound exists but the wrong program is playing.

Is it a silence detector or RF analyzer?

No. It reports silence and source loss as operational states, but its primary role is Program Integrity / Audio Chain Watchdog. It is not an RF or audio-quality analyzer.

What is one monitoring channel?

1 monitoring channel = 1 REFERENCE + ACTUAL pair. It is not a stereo side, physical input, or individual stream.

Does PlayoutGuard upload broadcast audio?

No. Diagnostic WAV incidents remain local unless a future user explicitly chooses to share them.

When does a license period begin?

On the first successful activation, not when the key is issued. Later validation never restarts the period.
